Chinatsu Fujiki

Chinatsu Fujiki was born in 1984 in Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
After graduating from high school, she studied at a culinary school in Tokyo.

Part-time work at Hotel Okura while she was a student led to a full time job, and she spent five years working for Hotel Okura Fukuoka. At the age of 24, she went to France where she trained in a bistro in Paris, and at Michelin-starred restaurants in Dordogne and southern France . Returning to Japan, she continued her training at such French restaurants as Ginza L’Osier.

In 2014, she went back to France where she served as the sous chef at Restaurant Sola in Paris. She returned to Japan in 2017. In June 2018, she became the chef of the newly opened Restaurant Umi.
